Job summary

Bodell Construction is hiring a Concrete Finisher for our Austin water/wastewater project. You will spread, finish, and verify concrete work on slabs, foundations, walls, and curbs, using power tools and hand tools, ensuring quality and safety.

Join a team focused on safety, craftsmanship, and timely delivery, with opportunities to advance through on-site training and access to Aecon University resources. Must be legally eligible to work in the US and able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of concrete finishing experience with city/flatwork
• Knowledge of hand tools and floats
• Able to read blueprints (asset)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Responsibilities

• Spread, level, and smooth freshly poured concrete using hand and power tools.
• Finish concrete surfaces including slabs, foundations, walls, curbs, sidewalks, pads, stairs, and structural elements.
• Operate power trowels, vibrators, screeds, and finishing equipment.
• Check concrete for proper depth, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
• Patch, repair, and restore concrete surfaces as needed.
• Monitor weather conditions and implement measures to protect fresh concrete.
• Strip, clean, and maintain finishing tools and equipment.
