Job summary

DNT Construction LLC in San Antonio, TX is looking for a concrete finisher to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete structures to specified textures. Under general supervision, you will work with the jobsite team to ensure textures meet specifications and safety standards.

You will mix, place, finish, and cure concrete, operate hand tools, set forms, and coordinate with truck delivery while keeping the site clean and safe for the crew.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of concrete or skilled labor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials.
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety standards, policies and procedures.
• Facilitates concrete pouring by positioning delivery truck.
• Moves discharge chute to direct concrete into forms.
• Spreads concrete into forms with rake or shovel.
• Levels and finishes concrete with screed and floats.
• Smoothes, shapes and finishes freshly poured concrete.
• Removes rough spots and patches with fresh concrete or epoxy.
• Molds expansion joints and edges.
• Sprinkles finish materials to achieve prescribed texture.
• Produces broomed rough surfaces.
• Mixes cement with hoe or mixer.
• Directs sub-grade work, mixing and setting of forms.
• Builds and lays out forms and compacts fills.
• Cleans jobsite of tools, debris and equipment.
