Job Overview

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking experienced concrete finishers (pavers) for our paving department in Houston, TX. Candidates should be comfortable working in various weather conditions and different concrete paving environments.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures.
• Travel between multiple projects within Houston area.

General Requirements

• Practice safety rules and use hand & power tools safely.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Report to and assist your supervisor.
• Perform quality work according to project specifications.
• Manage tools and materials responsibly.
• Work effectively as part of a team.

Functional Requirements

• Spread, level, and shape concrete to specifications.
• Finish concrete surfaces and repair defects.
• Mold expansion joints and edges.
• Apply finishing techniques with stone chips, steel, or coloring powders.
• Mix and pour grout, and calculate concrete quantities.
• Interpret drawings and diagrams.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and physical screenings.
• Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Physical & Work Environment

• Must pass physical exams and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined or elevated spaces.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to noise and chemicals.
