Job summary

Barnhill Contracting Company in North Carolina is seeking an experienced concrete finisher to place, finish, protect and repair concrete on construction projects. You will set forms, ensure depth and pitch, and operate concrete equipment to pour and finish concrete to spec.

You will work behind power curb machines, apply broom or stamp finishes, and craft edged joints for curb and gutter sections to meet NC DOT, Military and private sector specs.

Qualifications

• Experience / 3 years minimum.
• Encourage a valid NC Driver License.
• Willingness to learn multiple task of the concrete operation.
• Ability to abide by precise instructions.
• Ability to abide by strict but necessary safety rules and policies.
• Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player.
• Maintain a good attendance and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Performs various unskilled task which are associated with concrete and grading operations. This includes but not limited shoveling concrete, stone or dirt.
• Uses various tools such as shovel, rake, bull float, broom, pick, hammer, saw, pneumatic hammer or drill, tamp, concrete saw.
