Primoris Heavy Civil seeks skilled Concrete Finisher to complete final surfaces on heavy civil projects in Louisiana. You will smooth and finish concrete, apply curing sealers, and ensure adherence to blueprints and specs for accurate grades.

Ideal candidates bring proven finishing experience, tool proficiency, blueprint literacy, and strong stamina to work in varying weather, with OSHA 10/30 a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Finisher in heavy civil construction.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for concrete finishing.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specifications.
• Strong understanding of concrete properties and curing processes.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in varying weather.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to multiple Louisiana job sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Apply curing compounds and protective sealers to finished concrete.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate finishes and grades.
• Cut, shape, and smooth concrete using roughing and finishing tools.
• Monitor concrete for proper curing and address imperfections.
• Assist with setup and dismantling of forms and other construction equipment.
• Operate small construction equipment as needed (e.g., vibrators, power buggies).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with crew and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
• Perform other general labor duties on heavy civil sites.
