Job summary

Responsibilities include smoothing surfaces with hand and power tools, forming and aligning joints, installing rebar, and applying curing compounds. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Concrete Finisher in construction.
• Understanding of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing.
• Ability to use finishing tools safely.
• Physical stamina for outdoor work.
• Commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs, using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut control joints.
• Install fixtures such as steel rods and rebar, and place mesh and rebar for strength.
• Direct the casting of the concrete and supervise laborers who use shovels or special tools to spread it.
• Produce rough concrete surface, using broom.
• Mold expansion joints and edges, using standard finishing tools.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof or restore concrete surfaces, using appropriate compounds.
• Monitor the curing process and perform finishing touches accordingly.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines on the job site.
