Job summary

Keeley Companies in Texas is seeking a Concrete Finisher to join the paving team. You will assist in installing pavements, curbs and sidewalks per project specs and plans. You must be able to lift heavy materials and travel to multiple sites within a 3-4 hour radius.

You will also read blueprints, finish surfaces, operate basic equipment, and collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure project goals are met with high quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years minimum experience as a concrete finisher.
• Ability to travel a 3-4 hour radius outside of home location.
• 2-5 years of experience in construction, focused on concrete finishing and related tasks.
• Driver's License preferred to facilitate transportation to jobsites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good attitude.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking; trainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and construction of concrete pavements, curbs, and sidewalks per project specs and design plans.
• Lift, carry, and transport materials and tools weighing over 50 pounds to the work area.
• Assist in preparation and pouring of concrete mixtures into forms or surfaces.
• Assist in repairs on concrete surfaces including patching and finishing.
• Strike off with straight edge techniques, float and finish concrete.
• Support finishing by smoothing, leveling, and shaping surfaces with proper tools.
• Operate small equipment (skid steer, mini excavator, backhoe, roller) as needed.
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets specs, quality standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with teams (contractors, architects, engineers) to coordinate work.
