Job summary

B&B Concrete in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform a range of carpentry tasks involved in prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. You will read drawings, build and set concrete forms, and assist with reinforcing steel on site.

Responsibilities include verifying elevations, erecting forms, and ensuring safety compliance while coordinating with the Foreman or Project Manager to address issues and material needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; aid in reinforcing steel.
• Verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about issues and materials.
• Observe all safety policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Construct and assemble wood/metal forms for floors, walls, columns, slabs, tilt-walls.
• Set forms to elevations and locations and assist with reinforcing steel.
• Erect forms with various materials and systems; ensure accuracy.
• Signal concrete deliverers and support concrete placement as needed.
• Maintain safe work conditions and report hazards.
