Job summary

The Concrete Finisher role at El Paso County involves pouring and finishing concrete on roads, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks under supervision. You will support road, bridge, and facilities maintenance and may lead a crew to complete concrete tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with four years in construction, preferably concrete or pavement work.
• Experience with concrete tools and equipment and safety practices.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Remove broken concrete and set forms for pouring.
• Pour and finish concrete for roads, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks.
• Strip forms, backfill, and restore disturbed areas.
• Supervise crew performing concrete work.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on concrete around county facilities.
