Job summary

Northland Concrete & Masonry is seeking experienced Finishers to join our union contractor team. You will finish and smooth concrete on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, read drawings for elevations, and work closely with foremen and crew to meet schedules and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have proven finish skills with hand and power tools, a solid work ethic, and the ability to collaborate within a team in a fast-paced environment. Union eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand grades/elevations.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Union membership or eligibility to join the appropriate trade union.

Responsibilities

• Finish and smooth freshly placed concrete using hand and power tools.
• Set and maintain proper grades, elevations, slopes, and surfaces.
• Perform edging, jointing, floating, troweling, and other finishing techniques.
• Operate concrete finishing equipment, including power trowels.
• Read and interpret drawings, elevations, and specifications.
• Assist with concrete placement, forming, and related activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work closely with foremen, laborers, and other members of the crew to meet project schedules and quality standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Finish and smooth freshly placed concrete using hand and power tools
• Set and maintain proper grades, elevations, slopes, and surfaces
• Perform edging, jointing, floating, troweling, and other finishing techniques
• Operate concrete finishing equipment, including power trowels
• Read and interpret drawings, elevations, and specifications
• Assist with concrete placement, forming, and related activities as needed
