Job summary

Job Bank is seeking an on-site construction worker to perform concrete placement, formwork checks, leveling and finishing, and operate power vibrators on commercial sites.

The role requires reading blueprints, working at heights, and a physically demanding schedule with early morning hours. Permanent full-time employment pays 36.00–38.00 CAD per hour for a 37.5 hour week.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
