Job summary

Franklin’s Concrete and Asphalt Solutions is seeking a Concrete Finisher to join the team in Colorado. You will finish surfaces, align forms, mold expansion joints, and apply decorative or sealing finishes on poured concrete, ensuring quality and safety on outdoor projects.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of concrete finishing experience, ability to read blueprints, and strong teamwork. The role requires outdoor work and familiarity with hand and power tools; certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• 2+ years of experience in concrete finishing.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in concrete finishing preferred.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.
• Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete or pattern or stamp the surface to provide a decorative finish.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces of freshly poured concrete.
• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.
• Direct the casting of the concrete and supervise laborers who use shovels or special tools to spread it.
• Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry, using hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper, or concrete-mixing machine.
• Signal truck driver to position the truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on forms.
• Waterproof or restore concrete surfaces, using appropriate compounds.

Pay Range: $20-$25 an hour depending on experience.
