Job description

Responsibilities

• Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds
• Smooth and finish surfaces using hand and power tools (trowels, floats, edgers, and power trowels)
• Monitor curing process and apply curing compounds as needed
• Cut joints and ensure proper expansion control
• Repair, resurface, and replace damaged concrete
• Operate basic construction equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, and project managers
• Additional tasks as needed to support operations

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience as a concrete finisher or similar role preferred
• Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans and specifications
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Experience with hand and power tools used in concrete work
• Reliable transportation and ability to report to job sites as scheduled
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
