Qualifications

• Experience with structural concrete estimating preferred.
• Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Experience with Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.
• Experience with Commercial/Industrial projects preferred.
• General knowledge of construction principles with projects over $1M.
• Knowledge of budgeting, negotiated bids, and hard bids.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up an estimate including alternates, general conditions, and vendor/subcontractor pricing.
• Performs take-offs and quantifies concrete scope items.
• Provides accurate project information during turnover and planning phases.
• Ensures information to operations is detailed for execution.

The Role

Lithko Contracting is seeking a Concrete Estimator to join our team in Kansas City, KS! The Estimator will assist the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of commercial and industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Sets up an estimate to include correct alternates, general conditions, inputting correct vendor and subcontractor pricing, correct labor production and wage rates in alignment with bid strategy.
• Conducts a take off by owning all items from take-off software through identifying and quantifying all necessary concrete scope items.
• Responsible for providing correct project information to the appropriate parties during the turnover and planning phases.
• Validates that accurate and detailed information was provided to the operations team to plan for execution.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience with structural concrete estimating preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Must have good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Experience in estimating for a Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.
• Experience with a variety of project types with emphasis on Commercial/Industrial preferred.
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required with experience on projects over 1 million dollars.
• Knowledge of budgeting, negotiated bids, and hard bids.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
