MV WATTS – Georgia is seeking a detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to analyze project plans, prepare accurate cost estimates, and help ensure projects begin with a strong financial foundation. Expertise in concrete construction, estimating software, and construction math will drive competitive bids.

You will review plans, perform takeoffs, and collaborate with project teams to deliver reliable estimates for diverse commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of concrete estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specs, and bid documents to prepare accurate estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop competitive cost estimates with attention to detail.
• Use PlanSwift and Bluebeam Revu to prepare takeoffs and proposals.
• Calculate quantities for footings, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and other concrete elements.
• Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors during estimating.
• Assist with vendor pricing and subcontractor quotations.
• Validate estimates through quality control before submission.
• Maintain organized project files and estimating documentation.
• Support project handoffs to operations after bid awards.

Help Build Successful Projects from the Ground Up

We're looking for a detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our growing construction team. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and helping ensure projects begin with a strong financial foundation. Your expertise in concrete construction, estimating software, and construction mathematics will play a key role in delivering competitive and profitable bids.

What You'll Do

• Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate project estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop competitive cost estimates while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Utilize estimating software, including PlanSwift and Bluebeam Revu, to prepare takeoffs and proposals.
• Calculate concrete quantities, including footings, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and other structural elements.
• Review project specifications to determine concrete mix designs, PSI requirements, and material specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors during the estimating process.
• Assist with vendor pricing and subcontractor quotations.
• Verify estimates through a quality control review process before submission.
• Maintain organized project files and estimating documentation.
• Support project handoffs to operations following successful bid awards.

• Has 2–3 years of experience estimating concrete construction projects.
• Can confidently interpret construction plans and specifications.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of concrete estimating experience.
• Proficiency with PlanSwift and Bluebeam Revu.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of concrete materials and construction methods.
• Solid construction math skills, including quantity takeoffs and volume calculations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will stand out:

• ACI Certification(s).
• Previous hands-on concrete field experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience negotiating material and subcontractor pricing.Familiarity with bid preparation and project cost analysis.
