Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator I/II to support a concrete construction crew on streets and drainage projects in Texas.

The role involves operating a range of concrete-related equipment, performing site preparations, finishing, and assisting with safety and quality standards. The II level requires more experience and may serve as lead, with responsibilities for heavier equipment and training of co-workers; candidates must have a Texas CDL and be available

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Texas Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience operating heavy or specialized concrete-related equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete mixing, placement, curing and finishing methods.
• Knowledge of safety practices and TMUTCD.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of light to heavy equipment used in street and drainage construction and maintenance.
• Assist with forming, placing, finishing and curing concrete per project specs.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; perform basic preventative maintenance and maintain records.
• Support site operations including barricades, debris removal and temporary traffic control as needed.
• Provide training support to co-workers as required by lead operator.
