Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Skilled Laborer to support concrete crew activities including formwork, rebar placement, concrete pours, finishing operations, and related heavy civil construction tasks.

The role requires hands-on construction experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Responsibilities include assisting with material handling, trench digging, tool operation, maintaining a safe workspace, and following safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of construction experience (heavy civil highly preferred).
• Experience in construction or related industry preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, and operating hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction staff to ensure project success
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices
• Other duties as assigned
