Ames Construction is hiring a General Laborer to support concrete and civil construction operations at a Clyde, NC jobsite. This role involves physically demanding outdoor work on a team focused on building lasting infrastructure.

Experience in construction, farming, or agricultural work is preferred. The job requires lifting, bending, and standing for long periods, with day or night shifts and potential Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, concrete, farming, ranching, or agricultural work preferred.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts, including Saturdays if required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete operations including forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
• Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying materials, and site cleanup.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment as directed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe jobsite.
• Work collaboratively with foremen, operators, and crew members.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs.
