Job Overview

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking skilled Concrete Carpenters I-III for commercial projects in Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities
  • Form sidewalks, pads, grade beams, and other ground level structures by reading and following layout plans independently.
  • Safely strip wall form systems.
  • Build wall and deck form systems safely.
  • Form stairs safely.
  • Recognize hazards and danger zones.
  • Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs.
  • Complete required training for personal arrest systems.
  • Assist other trades when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Experience with self-perform concrete work in commercial, civil, or marine environments.
  • Ability to plan and execute work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading and layout.
  • Knowledge of form systems and their components.
  • Understanding of level, plumb, area, and volume concepts.
  • Construction terminology knowledge.
  • Proficiency with common construction tools and equipment.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Organized work habits.
  • Ability to work night shifts if needed.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Self-motivated with good teamwork skills.
  • Dependable attendance.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Minimum age 18+.
  • Proof of identity and employment authorization.
