Job summary

CLLA Group is seeking an experienced Concrete Carpenter/Finisher to construct and set forms, place and finish concrete, and tie reinforcing steel on commercial and residential projects in Mansfield, TX. The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on experience, can read basic plans and elevations, and operates hand and power tools safely within a crew.

This is a physically demanding on-site role requiring outdoor work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of concrete construction experience.
• Ability to read basic construction plans, measurements, grades, and elevations.
• Experience building and setting concrete forms and tying reinforcing steel.

Responsibilities

• Build, set, brace, and remove concrete forms for foundations, structures, pads, walls, and other concrete projects.
• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete to specifications using hand and power tools.
• Coordinate with crew to ensure proper placement, finishing, and curing of concrete.
• Maintain a safe workspace and comply with company safety policies.

Job description

Summary/Objective:The Concrete Carpenter / Finisher performs skilled concrete construction, including building and setting concrete forms, tying reinforcing steel, placing concrete, and completing concrete finishing. This position requires broad concrete construction experience and the ability to perform multiple phases of concrete work safely and efficiently.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Build, set, brace, and remove concrete forms for foundations, structures, pads, walls, and other concrete construction.Measure, cut, assemble, and install formwork according to plans, specifications, grades, and elevations.Cut, place, and tie reinforcing steel and wire mesh in preparation for concrete placement.Place, spread, level, screed, float, edge, and finish concrete to required specifications.Perform hand and power-tool work associated with forming, reinforcing, placing, and finishing concrete.Verify form dimensions, alignment, elevations, and reinforcement placement prior to concrete pours.Assist with concrete pours and coordinate with other team members to maintain proper placement and finishing operations.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.Follow all company safety requirements, project specifications, and supervisor instructions.Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum of five (5) years of concrete construction experience.Demonstrated experience building and setting concrete forms.Demonstrated experience cutting, placing, and tying rebar.Demonstrated experience placing and finishing concrete using hand and power finishing tools.Ability to read basic construction plans, measurements, grades, and elevations.Knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, curing practices, and formwork techniques.Ability to safely operate common concrete construction tools and equipment.Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew and follow verbal and written instructions.This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position, and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of experience, skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities, or working conditions associated with the position.
