Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a concrete carpenter or form carpenter.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Experience with gang forms, Symons forms, EFCO forms, or similar forming systems.
• Knowledge of concrete placement procedures and formwork best practices.
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards.
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic construction math.
• Reliable transportation to project sites throughout Maine.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build, set, align, and strip concrete forms for foundations, walls, footings, slabs, and structural concrete.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, and prefabricated forming systems.
• Install embeds, anchor bolts, expansion joints, and reinforcing materials as required.
• Assist with concrete placement, finishing, and curing operations.
• Verify formwork dimensions, elevations, and layout requirements.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with project supervisors, laborers, equipment operators, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Perform form stripping, material handling, and site cleanup activities.
• Complete work accurately while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
