Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking experienced Concrete Carpenters for our Fort Lauderdale, FL project. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in concrete construction, including formwork, walls, elevations, and finish work. Local FT.

Lauderdale residents are preferred, with strong knowledge of tools, safety, and quality finishing practices. The role involves setting and finishing concrete, reading drawings, tying rebar, and using equipment like floats, levels, and trowels.

Qualifications

• Experience in Forms, Walls, Elevations.
• 3+ years of concrete experience in commercial construction.
• Local Fort Lauderdale candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up forms for concrete structures per specs and drawings.
• Finish concrete slabs including leveling, curing, and finishing.
• Install and patch concrete joints and toppings per project requirements.
• Operate tools like tape measures, floats, and trowels safely.
• Maintain knowledge of all tools and equipment used in place-finishing sequence.

DPR Construction is looking forConcrete Carpenters to join our Fort Lauderdale B.U, with3+ years of experience in all aspects of concrete in commercial construction.

*For this role, we need carpenters with experience in: Forms, Walls, Elevations.*

*We are looking for LOCAL FT. LAUDERDALE candidates ONLY*

Job Requirements:

• Establishes finish grade during the pour of the slabs.
• Ability to read tape measure.
• Ability to tie rebar and set string line for setting concrete forms.
• Performs the concrete placement and finish to include placing, finishing, curing, and cutting of concrete slabs.
• Ensures applications of floor toppings & finishes to meet project requirements consistent with floor flatness and floor levelness.
• Required to perform a variety of tasks including erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, buildings, and site work, according to specifications and drawings.
• Must have knowledge of proper cross slopes and acceptable tolerances of sidewalks, ADA ramps, curbs, driveways, and other concrete structures.
• Patching and repairing of concrete work, concrete restoration and concrete joint treatments.
• Proficient in the use of the following tools: straight edges to establish grade, bull floats, mops and Highway Straight Edges, float blades, combo blades, hand tools, sledgehammer, hand saws, power drills, saws, lasers and finish blades and has the knowledge to use the equipment at the proper time of the place-finishing sequence.
• Ability to use hand tools for floor finishing, edging, joint tooling. Single and double trowel machines. Curing, pump and vibratory equipment. Walk-behind trowels and double riders.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all tools and equipment required and has the knowledge to use the equipment at the proper time of the place-finishing sequence.

Physical Requirements:

• Climbing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, balancing, squatting and kneeling for prolonged periods at a time.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to and not limited to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

• Work occurs primarily in on-site environment and may be indoors or outdoors. May sometimes involve heights, exposure to hot or cold weather, loud noises, dust and fumes.
• All PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times (safety vest, protective eye-wear, hearing protection, gloves, sleeves as needed, hard hat, face shield, & approved foot wear including rubber boots).

Pay based on experience and capabilities.
