Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Cement Batch Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and overseeing the cement batching process, ensuring quality control, and maintaining plant equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. As a key member of our operations team, you will help ensure that the plant runs smoothly and that product quality meets company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Batching Operations: Operate and monitor cement batch plant equipment to accurately mix materials in the proper proportions, ensuring consistent and high-quality products.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all cement batches meet quality specifications and that proper documentation is maintained for each batch.
  • Plant Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks on plant equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and silos, to ensure efficient and safe operation. Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the maintenance team.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and policies, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor material inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies. Assist in coordinating the delivery and storage of raw materials.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues with the batching process, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of batch production, material usage, and plant maintenance activities. Submit reports to supervisors as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other plant operators, maintenance personnel, and management to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Follow environmental regulations and best practices, including minimizing waste and ensuring proper disposal of materials.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in operating cement batch plants or similar industrial equipment is .
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Knowledge of batching processes, cement types, and quality control standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production schedules.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
