Hire The Keys is seeking a hands-on Concrete Batch Plant Manager to lead two ready mix plants near Key West, FL. You will oversee production, staffing, scheduling, and profitability across both locations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in ready mix, strong knowledge of concrete materials and QC, and experience with batching systems like Command Alkon. WFH flexibility is limited; in-person work at two sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive ready mix plant experience and crew leadership.
• Ability to manage two plants and coordinate with sales, dispatch, and QC.
• Knowledge of concrete materials, mix designs, plant equipment, and quality control.
• Experience with computerized batching systems such as Command Alkon.

Responsibilities

• Own daily operations, staffing, production and profitability at two ready mix plants.
• Batch concrete and oversee mix accuracy, moisture adjustments, slump, yield and equipment calibration.
• Coordinate dispatch, material deliveries and production schedules to meet customer commitments.
• Lead preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Manage cement, aggregate and admixture inventory; control costs and reduce waste.
• Hire, train and coach plant teams capable of operating independently.
• Maintain production records and enforce quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Resolve customer concerns and coordinate with sales, dispatch and quality control.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $90,000 - $125,000+ base salary, based on experience

THE ROLE

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3–5+ years of progressive ready mix plant experience, including hands-on batching and crew leadership.
• Proven ability to manage multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mix designs, plant equipment and quality control.
• Experience with computerized batching systems such as Command Alkon or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; flexibility for early starts, variable hours and travel between plants.
• ACI certification and familiarity with Florida DOT specifications preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Ready Mix Plant Manager: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
