Job summary

Sollis Health is hiring a per diem Emergency Physician to conduct at-home house calls for Sollis patients in the San Francisco area. The role involves evaluating and treating patients in their homes, coordinating with house call teams, and documenting care in Athena Health.

Incoming physicians will be paid on a per-house-call basis, with a rate of $1,000 per call, and may cover shifts across Sollis’ flagship centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
• Physician state license and ability to practice in California.
• ABEM board certified or board eligible.
• DEA license required.
• 2+ years experience as a physician in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers.

Responsibilities

• Formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan in patient home setting for urgent/emergent care within emergency medicine.
• Coordinate with House Call Coordinators for requests and respond to patient care timely while on shift.
• Perform medical evaluations and use at-home imaging as part of patient assessment.
• Ensure the house call provider bag is stocked to avoid delays.
• Obtain clinical samples for point-of-care or lab-based testing.
• Perform procedures including IV access, phlebotomy, POC tests, IV meds/fluids, and EKGs.
• Document clinical evaluation and treatment in Athena Health.
• Provide patient education and empathetic communication.
• Interface with patient's PCP and specialists for follow-up care.
