Job summary

The Physician will lead a clinical team, perform evaluations, manage Covid-related cases, document in Athena Health, and coordinate with After Care and Medical Partners. Strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited university.
• CA state medical license in good standing.
• ABEM board certified or board eligible.
• 2+ years in emergency or urgent care settings.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required on hire.
• DEA license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulate a differential diagnosis for urgent and emergent care.
• Lead medical management with PAs, nurses, and technicians.
• Assess and treat Covid-related cases; obtain samples, perform point-of-care testing, antibody tests, and symptom management.
• Document evaluations and treatment in Athena Health EMR.
• Collaborate with Medical Director and team to ensure policy adherence and quality care.
• Coordinate care with After Care, house calls, and Medical Partners.
• Provide patient-centered, empathetic communication to patients and families.
• Contribute to operational projects and related duties.
