Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Concessions Worker at Illinois State University, Normal, IL. This part-time role focuses on fast, accurate service in live event environments, stocking and serving food and beverages while staying clean and organized.

You may work at permanent stands, kiosks, or mobile locations with various program formats. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and prior concessions or customer service experience.

  • Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and serve concession food and beverages per recipes and standards.
  • Assist with opening/closing locations, setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
  • Operate basic food service equipment as assigned.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Attend scheduled shifts on time and reliably.

This role is specific to concessions environments and focuses on speed of service, product availability, cleanliness, and teamwork during live events. Concessions Workers play a critical role in ensuring concession stands are properly stocked, service-ready, and operating efficiently during peak periods.The Concessions Worker may work in permanent concession stands, portable or mobile locations, kiosks, autonomous retail stores or support areas. Service formats may include grab-and-go, made-to-order items, or pre-packaged food and beverage offerings.
