Job summary

City of Cape Girardeau is seeking a concession operations staff member to provide quality food preparation and customer service to SportsPlex patrons.

The role involves stocking, preparing, serving items, maintaining sanitary concessions areas, operating the POS system, and coordinating with management to address issues and ensure smooth service during events. Experience in food service and cash handling is preferred; strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service/management desired.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
• Skill and experience in proper cash handling and accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide for quality food preparation and customer service to SportsPlex patrons.
• Ensure that concession and food service areas are maintained in a manner that is consistent with food safety policies.
• Provide for efficient inventory needs for products and supplies.
• Keep the concession and food service areas clean and sanitary.
• Operate the point of sale system accurately and efficiently through proper data entry, cash collection and reporting.
• Communicate with manager/supervisor any issues or concerns.
