Position Summary

The Concessions Lead Cook oversees food production across all concessions areas in the venue. The ideal candidate is personable, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and attentive to detail. Responsibilities include following established recipes, assisting with training, inventory management, and supporting special events alongside the Chef, concessions manager, and leadership team.

This role requires excellent attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events as needed. The hourly wage ranges from $17 to $19.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare all concessions locations before opening, including verifying inventory, assigning duties, ensuring sanitation, and confirming operational readiness. Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  2. Provide oversight to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution.
  3. Train new and current staff on property procedures and best practices.
  4. Be willing to cover or back up any open position to maintain full operational capacity and uphold service standards.
  5. Maintain a safe work environment, address safety concerns promptly, and relay safety issues to management.
  6. Ensure staff and volunteers understand workplace expectations, provide ongoing training, and foster a positive team environment.
  7. Gain working knowledge of all concession locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, and access points.
  8. Assist with recording guest orders, relaying to the kitchen, and responding to guest requests.
  9. Calculate meal costs, present checks, accept payments, and provide change.
  10. Recommend menu items and explain ingredients or preparation methods.
  11. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.
  12. Demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability.
  13. Ensure equipment is operational and clean before events.
  14. Enforce company policies and procedures.
  15. Handle employee relations, coaching, counseling, and HR documentation.
  16. Assist management with training, inventory, and special events.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage.
  • Ability to supervise and communicate effectively with staff and guests.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Capable of working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required.
  • Responsible cash handling skills.
  • Basic math skills related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory management.
