Job Description

Scope

The Concession Coordinator is the point person for organizing and coordinating food service and volunteer efforts for athletic events on the Kentucky campus. Athletic concessions offer a unique avenue for outreach to the community by providing outstanding hospitality to guests who attend events at the multiple sports venues on campus. This is a part‑time 10‑month position.

Qualifications

  • A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
  • A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
  • Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy School System
  • Agreement and belief that the Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind

Ideal candidate shall possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating orders with athletic department and placing those orders with approved vendors
  • Ability to organize inventory and set price points appropriate for products sold
  • Willingness to work with team parents to schedule and train volunteer workers
  • Responsible for opening and closing the concession stand(s) each night
  • Ensure concession stands are stocked, cleaned and products are rotated for freshness
  • Maintain health department guidelines for food preparation

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities
  • Prolonged periods of standing or walking
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds at a time

Reporting Relationship

The Concession Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics.
