Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a part-time Cashier in Topeka to deliver efficient service and accurately process transactions at the concession stands. The role includes operating the cash register, maintaining stock, handling beverages (including alcoholic drinks with ID checks), and ensuring sanitation and safety standards.

The position is hourly, tip eligible, and offers 401(k) savings plan options with matching for part‑time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn to handle cash and to operate a cash register and system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co‑workers, managers, volunteers, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
• Maintain stock and supply levels and communicate low‑stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager.
• Listen to and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to the disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check the guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
