Job summary

Compass Group USA at the United Center in Chicago is seeking a Union Stand Worker to support food and beverage service during events. You will assist guests, handle food prep, cashiering, and maintain a clean work area.

Responsibilities include serving guests quickly and courteously, stocking items, operating a register, and following food safety practices. You may need to check IDs for alcohol and assist with setup and cleanup.

Qualifications

• 0–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills required.
• Ability to work with in-house systems and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Overview:

As a Union Stand Worker, you will assist with food and beverage service in a concession stand during events. This role includes customer service, food prep, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and efficient work area.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve guests quickly and courteously with food and beverage items.

Prepare, maintain, and stock hot and cold food items during events.

Operate a register and handle transactions accurately.

Maintain cleanliness of the stand, counters, and condiment areas.

Follow food safety practices including FIFO, labeling, and temperature control.

Check IDs for alcohol service and prevent over-serving.

Assist with setup before events and cleanup afterward.
