The Concessions Stand Attendant helps create lifelong memories and a healthier community for all to enjoy in Chaska with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. This position serves a customer-facing role within the department's recreation indoor and outdoor facilities.
This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Hours may be extended or shortened when weather dictates.
Customer Service
- Prepares and serves food products and refreshments in a manner that meets all local and state health code requirements, rules, and guidelines.
Facilities and Operations
- Rents recreation equipment (paddleboards/boats, ice skates)
- Monitors Park/facility usage and assists customers as needed.
- Performs light cleaning and maintenance as needed to ensure facilities are usable, clean, and safe. Removes trash and restocks supplies as needed.
- Performs closing and opening duties as needed including completing necessary reports.
Finance and Budgeting
- Handles cash, check, and/or credit card transactions in accordance with the City’s accounting procedures.
Miscellaneous
- Contributes ideas and collaborates with staff across the Parks and Recreation department to create a positive and energetic work environment.
- Participates in staff meetings and training.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of age
