Job summary

HII‑Mission Technologies seeks a COMSEC Specialist to manage the secure storage and distribution of COMSEC materials across mission networks. You will safeguard cryptographic equipment, conduct audits, and train personnel to maintain compliance with NSA and CNSSI policies.

The role requires coordinating with RMF teams to meet NIST SP 800-53 controls and traveling to forward-deployed sites as needed. Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in COMSEC operations and EKMS/KMI.
• Knowledge of NSA COMSEC policies, DoD 8523.01, CNSSI 4009.
• Hands-on experience configuring devices such as KG-250X, TACLANE, KIV-7.
• Ability to perform audits and maintain accurate accountability records.

Responsibilities

• Manage and safeguard all COMSEC materials and keying material per NSA/DoD policy.
• Distribute keying material using secure courier procedures and EKMS.
• Configure and maintain secure devices such as KG-250X, KIV-7, TACLANE.
• Conduct quarterly COMSEC audits at bases and forward locations.
• Provide training on COMSEC handling and incident reporting.
