Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector in Englewood, Colorado, seeks a COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO)/Tier II Network Technician to support secure COMSEC operations and the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.

AT&T has an opening for an COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO)/ Tier II Network Technician:
COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) Job Duties:

CROs are responsible and accountable for all COMSEC material issued to their subaccount and ensure they, their alternates, and users fully comply with all applicable provisions identified in provided guidance & policies.

  • Coordinates/routes all requests for the transfer/disposition of COMSEC material through the program leads.
  • Creates & maintains a COMSEC file plan IAW specified retention instructions and an unclassified material delivery point.

Ensures:

  • Establishes a comprehensive, reoccurring training program for their COMSEC users.
  • Prepares a written emergency plan and ensures all COMSEC briefed personnel are trained on their duties & responsibilities within the plan.
  • Processes all transfer, destruction, & semiannual or change of CRO inventory paperwork in a timely manner; returns paperwork to the program office.
  • Publishes a list of people authorized access to the subaccount’s COMSEC material.
  • Reports known or suspected COMSEC incidents, including deviations from COMSEC constraints document to the program office immediately; & ensures COMSEC briefed personnel are aware of proper COMSEC incident reporting procedures.
  • Requests additional COMSEC material, or relocation of existing material, from the program office.
  • Returns excess material and all ancillary material (i.e., racks, cables, power supplies, etc.) to the COR within 15 business days after removal from operations or after identification of item as excess.
  • Supports detachment operations and maintenance personnel as necessary on new installs, circuit outages, and troubleshooting.
  • The Primary CRO on the subaccount signs all reports unless not present for duty; in the absence of the Primary the Alternate CRO will sign reports.
  • Validates, in the form of a requirements letter, the continuing need for all COMSEC material held locally, & requests disposition instructions for any material not required to fulfill ongoing operational needs.
Tier II Network Technician Job Duties:
  • The Tier II network field technician will support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents, demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team.
  • Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
  • Draft and implement standard network change requests.
  • Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, TEMS, coordinate and install new equipment).
  • Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory.
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process).
  • Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP).
  • Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, applying thin and thick configs.
  • Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, familiar with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE)
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN’s, Port Security, Thin Configs).
  • Perform Cisco and Juniper hardware upgrades, installations, de-installations, IOS upgrades, and network configurations
  • Experience with Visio.
  • Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years.

Additional required qualifications include: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2; level 3 certifications are acceptable as well.

Additional required qualifications include:
  • In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record and be eligible to drive an AT&T company vehicle.
  • Available to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Available to work flexible hours, to include weekend support.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Soft skills (experience with customer briefings), highly organized, problem solving, and self-motivated.
