Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Communications Security Manager (COMSEC Manager) to support USTRANSCOM at Scott AFB, IL. The role covers COMSEC oversight for USTRANSCOM and related commands, with DoD policy and KMI duties, training, and documentation responsibilities.

This on-site position may require after-hours support during emergencies. Target salary range is $60,001–$100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, with TS/SCI access and on-site requirements at Scott AFB.

Qualifications

• Experience executing COMSEC processes per policy.
• Ability to manage COMSEC accounts and CCEA duties.
• Ability to train personnel on COMSEC rules and procedures.
• Experience developing COMSEC policies and disseminating information.
• Proven ability to order and issue COMSEC material.
• Experience operating KMI and key management processes.
• Knowledge of access controls for COMSEC materials.
• Experience with incident reporting and AARs.
• Ability to produce recurring and ad-hoc reports.
• Experience preparing briefings and point papers on COMSEC issues.

Responsibilities

• Execute COMSEC processes and procedures IAW DoD policy.
• Maintain COMSEC accounts (CCEA) and SBSS duties.
• Coordinate COMSEC ETA training for officers and users.
• Develop and disseminate COMSEC policy and guidance.
• Order and issue COMSEC material to authorized personnel.
• Operate the Key Management Infrastructure for keys.
• Enforce access controls for COMSEC materials.
• Perform COMSEC incident reporting and AARs.
• Provide ongoing reporting and updates.
• Prepare point papers and briefings on COMSEC issues.
