Nickerson Talent Solutions is seeking a seasoned COMSEC Specialist to support cryptographic key management and daily COMSEC operations in a classified government environment in Virginia.

You will manage key distribution, configure electronic key loaders, and ensure accurate records while maintaining Top Secret clearance and compliance with government requirements. This on-site role in Warrenton, VA offers opportunities for advanced qualifications.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance.
• 2+ years of current COMSEC, electronic cryptographic key, or key management experience.
• Experience with electronic key ordering, receipt, transmission, distribution, or accountability.

Responsibilities

• Support COMSEC operations, key management, accountability, reporting, and distribution.
• Operate and support KMI and iApp systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot electronic key loaders.
• Perform TrKEK creation and related key management activities.
• Troubleshoot iApp key processing and distribution issues.
• Provide hands‑on cryptographic key support to authorized users.
• Support emergency key restoration and recovery.

Now Hiring: COMSEC Specialist | Top Secret Clearance

We’re looking for an experienced COMSEC professional to support cryptographic key management and daily COMSEC operations within a classified government environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Support COMSEC operations, key management, accountability, reporting, and distribution
• Operate and support KMI and iApp systems
• Order, receive, transmit, distribute, and account for electronic cryptographic keys
• Configure and troubleshoot electronic key loaders
• Perform TrKEK creation and related key management activities
• Troubleshoot iApp key processing and distribution issues
• Provide hands‑on cryptographic key support to authorized users
• Support emergency key restoration and recovery
• Work with Management Client, Advanced Key Processor, and COMSEC Accounting, Reporting and Distribution System
• Maintain accurate COMSEC records and support security and accountability requirements
• Support Central Office of Record processes and coordination

Required Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance
• 2+ years of current COMSEC, electronic cryptographic key, or key management experience
• Experience with electronic key ordering, receipt, transmission, distribution, or accountability
• Experience setting up or troubleshooting electronic key loaders
• COMSEC trained and briefed
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent applicable experience

Preferred:

• Current KMI certification
• KMI and iApp experience
• Management Client and Advanced Key Processor experience
• COMSEC Accounting, Reporting and Distribution System experience
• Other Government Agency coordination experience
• Central Office of Record experience
