Job summary

Credence has an immediate need for Cryptographic Planning personnel to support the Air Force Cryptographic Modernization efforts at Scott AFB, IL by helping identify capability gaps, assess vulnerabilities in COMSEC and cryptographic systems, and develop recommendations, requirements, and strategic plans for modernized solutions across air, ground, space, cyber, and weapons platforms.

The position also supports roadmap development, architecture and requirements documentation, compliance

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting cryptographic planning and modernization programs.
  • Ability to draft and review briefings, papers, and BBPs.
  • Strong coordination across multiple HQ and MAJCOM offices.
  • Familiarity with COMSEC equipment and keying material processes.
  • Clear written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in meetings and integrated teams to support program execution.
  • Draft, edit, and review correspondence using Microsoft Office.
  • Provide information management, scheduling, and conference support.
  • Prepare briefing materials and deliver trainings.
  • Coordinate with internal and external personnel at all levels.

Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for Cryptographic Planning personnel to support the Air Force Cryptographic Modernization efforts at Scott AFB, IL by helping identify capability gaps, assess vulnerabilities in COMSEC and cryptographic systems, and develop recommendations, requirements, and strategic plans for modernized solutions across air, ground, space, cyber, and weapons platforms. The position also supports roadmap development, architecture and requirements documentation, compliance tracking, fielding strategies, and leadership briefings related to enterprise cryptographic modernization

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
  • Participate in meetings, progress reviews, integrated teams, working groups, etc.
  • Draft, edit, and review a variety of correspondence and documentation, primarily using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Provide information management, records management, scheduling functions, and meeting/conference support.
  • Prepare briefing/training materials and present briefings/trainings.
  • Liaise and coordinate with personnel at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Provide awareness of new/evolving requirements and recommendations for integration.
  • Provide support for planning, programming, tracking, and financial execution.
  • Prepare information papers, point papers, background papers, and staff studies.
Task-Specific Responsibilities
  • Provide Program Objective Memorandum (POM) support and advice on HQ CCC programs and the processes of Secretary of the Air Force (SAF), Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Cyber Panel, HQ ACC, and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (AFLCMC/HNC).
  • Collect, consolidate, document, and review inputs; prepare all forms of Major Command (MAJCOM) POM documentation, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Bullet Background Papers (BBPs); make recommendations; and brief cost estimates, initiatives, and disconnects for each program under the program element (PE).
  • Develop strategic plans and roadmaps for Government review and approval with long-term recommendations for AF Crypto to address the large number of cryptographic algorithms decertification's and rapidly changing technology. Analyze and provide recommendations regarding potential direction and options for crypto in the 2026-2036 timeframe and long-term recommendations in the 2030-2060 timeframe.
  • Provide Device Management, Accountability, and Algorithm Transition support and advice to HQ CCC by collecting and reviewing inputs, preparing documentation, including PowerPoint, Excel, and BBPs, and making recommendations for each crypto program.
  • Investigate opportunities for continuous process improvement within the Cryptographic Modernization team and its activities and provide recommendations to HQ CCC.
  • Assist the Government with Radio Cryptographic Modernization Plan (RCMP) database improvements, sustainment, and troubleshooting.

  • TS clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility.
  • Minimum of two years of advanced staff experience planning, organizing, and negotiating effectively with leading cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of critical recommendations.
  • At least two years of staff experience managing complex, multi-faceted programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to support staff action officer processes, including document reviews, program updates, and the creation of point papers.
  • Expert knowledge of Communication Security (COMSEC) equipment and keying material processes with a minimum of two years of experience.
  • Thorough understanding of controlling authority roles and responsibilities, as well as complex equipment account roles and responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with strategic-level NSA, DoD, and DAF security policies and procedures as they pertain to cryptographic and keying material.
  • In-depth knowledge of associated classification guides pertaining to cryptographic algorithms, equipment, and COMSEC keying material.
