Job summary

KBR seeks a Communications Satellite Technical Analysis Engineer/Analyst to perform in-depth intelligence-like engineering assessments of foreign space-based communications systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (EE, Aerospace, Physics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related).
• 3+ years of experience in satellite communications, RF engineering, space systems, or related disciplines.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Knowledge of satellite fundamentals, RF systems, signal propagation, and satellite network architectures.
• Experience analyzing technical data and producing written assessments.
• Strong analytical, writing, and briefing skills.
• Ability to work independently and on multidisciplinary technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical analysis of foreign COMSAT systems, constellations, and supporting infrastructure.
• Assess satellite architectures, payload designs, transponder technologies, antenna systems, and network capabilities.
• Analyze satellite performance, coverage, capacity, bandwidth, and frequency usage.
• Characterize foreign satellite communications capabilities and modernization programs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including HTS, software-defined payloads, and optical communications.
• Assess resiliency, anti-jam capabilities, cyber vulnerabilities, and survivability.
• Analyze launches, constellation deployments, and on-orbit operations.
• Integrate measurements, reports, and open-source information into assessments.
• Develop capability assessments of foreign communications infrastructures and space ecosystems.
• Produce intelligence reports, studies, threat assessments, and executive-level products.
• Collaborate with IC partners and mission teams across War.
• Support forecasting of foreign space capabilities.
