Computer Vision Scientist

We are seeking an exceptional Computer Vision Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge computer vision algorithms and deep learning models that will transform diagnostic capabilities in animal healthcare. The ideal candidate for this position combines expertise in computer vision algorithms and deep learning architectures with practical experience deploying ML solutions in cloud environments, particularly AWS. This role will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and maintaining our expanding suite of AI products.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms and deep learning models for veterinary pathology applications.
  • Deploy and maintain scalable AI models in production environments using AWS cloud services, ensuring optimal performance, version control, and monitoring of model drift.
  • Collaborate with veterinary pathologists and software engineers to integrate computer vision solutions into our AI platform.
  • Stay current with state-of-the-art research and technologies in computer vision and AI.
  • Contribute to research publications and intellectual property development related to veterinary diagnostics.

About You

  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or related field.
  • Hands on experience with biomedical image analysis techniques (segmentation, registration, classification).
  • Strong theoretical understanding and practical experience in computer vision and deep learning. Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (PyTorch, OpenCV, scikit-learn).
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS services (Sagemaker, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, EC2).
  • Knowledge of software development best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy machine learning models at scale.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
