Job summary

Open Systems Inc. in Atlanta invites applications for a Computer Vision/Deep Learning Scientist at various levels. The role is hybrid with 2 days onsite weekly, focused on the Digital Train Inspection project and cutting-edge DL model development.

The candidate will design and implement novel CV algorithms, build custom DL architectures, and drive end-to-end model development from requirements to production. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant industry experience (3+ preferred) in CV/DS/Research roles.
• Excellent knowledge of Python and industry experience with PyTorch or other Deep Learning tools.
• Industry experience with Deep Learning (semantic segmentation, object detection, classification).

Responsibilities

• Work on the Digital Train Inspection project and contribute to computer vision solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement novel computer vision algorithms for unique use cases.
• Build and evaluate novel Deep Learning architectures and models.
• Develop production-ready code and integrate models with existing applications.
• Coordinate with application teams to deploy models in production environments.
• Manage the full model development lifecycle from requirements to post-production support.
• Communicate findings to colleagues, partners, and management.
• Guide junior team members and oversee targeted research and projects.

NOTES: If outside of the Atlanta area, the candidate can be fully remote.

What are our requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field.
