Job description

Fully Remote | Contract (12–24 Months) | $100–$200/Hour (negotiable and based on background/experience)

SNI Technology is seeking an experienced Computer Vision Engineer / AI Consultant for a long-term, fully remote contract opportunity supporting an innovative technology initiative focused on real-time visual tracking, AI-driven analytics, and advanced computer vision systems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, developing sophisticated algorithms, and turning visual data into highly accurate, actionable insights. You’ll join an established engineering team working to enhance system performance, automate visual interpretation, and accelerate the development of next-generation tracking technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for real-time object detection, tracking, and position estimation.
  • Build solutions that interpret live video feeds and automatically identify and track moving objects without requiring manual intervention.
  • Develop pixel-level tracking techniques to improve accuracy, reliability, and processing efficiency.
  • Apply mathematical modeling, geometry, image processing, and advanced algorithmic techniques to solve complex tracking challenges.
  • Transform two-dimensional visual information into three-dimensional object positioning and movement data.
  • Integrate video streams with complementary data sources, including depth sensing and other tracking technologies, to improve spatial accuracy.
  • Develop and refine algorithms that estimate object trajectories and predict movement based on visual and sensor data.
  • Contribute to the evolution of existing AI- and GPU-based solutions toward more precise, pixel-based tracking methodologies.
  • Support video processing, data transport, and cloud-based workflows for real-time applications.
  • Collaborate with an established team of developers and engineers to accelerate development, troubleshoot technical challenges, and deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage collected visual and tracking data for AI-driven automation and personalized content generation.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong professional experience in computer vision, image processing, visual analytics, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and a strong mathematical foundation.
  • Hands-on experience developing algorithms for object detection, object tracking, motion estimation, or spatial positioning.
  • Experience working with video data, image analysis, pixel-level processing, and real-time tracking systems.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into efficient, scalable software solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming and algorithm development using languages and frameworks relevant to computer vision and AI.
  • Experience working independently on complex engineering problems while collaborating effectively with a technical team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, particularly video processing, data pipelines, and streaming workflows.
  • Familiarity with GPU-accelerated computing and machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple cameras, depth sensors, LiDAR, or other spatial tracking technologies.
  • Knowledge of 2D-to-3D reconstruction, geometric modeling, camera calibration, and trajectory estimation.
  • Experience optimizing computer vision systems for high-precision, real-time performance.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, AI agents, or automated media and content workflows.
