Actalent in Barrington, IL is seeking a Computer Systems Validation Engineer for a contract role. The position supports a PLM system migration, focusing on requirements gathering, PLM configuration support, UAT, and GxP validation to ensure a compliant go-live.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CSV/CSA in a regulated environment, strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills, and experience with PLM/QMS tools such as MasterControl or similar. Hybrid work arrangement.

Job Description

Computer Systems Validation Engineer

Seeking a 3+ years of CSV/CSA experience to support implementation of a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and migration from a legacy platform. This role focuses on requirements gathering, PLM configuration support, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and GxP computer system validation activities to ensure a compliant and successful system go-live.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and document business, functional, and system requirements.
  • Support PLM configuration, workflows, data mapping, and integrations.
  • Develop and execute UAT and validation test scripts; manage defects and testing evidence.
  • Author validation deliverables including URS, FS/DS, RTM, risk assessments, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, and summary reports.
  • Partner with IT, Quality, and project teams to support implementation, compliance, training, and audit readiness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of CSV/CSA experience in a regulated (GxP/FDA) environment.
  • Experience with UAT, requirements gathering, test script authoring, traceability documentation, and system validation.
  • Knowledge of PLM/QMS systems (Agile, MasterControl, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

This is a Contract position based out of Barrington, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.38/hr.
