Lombard, IL 60148 (DuPage County) — on-site

Employment type:

Full-time, permanent W2 · 40 hours per week

COMPENSATION:

$80,000 – $85,000 per year

Role Overview

Analyze and improve the systems that keep care running across our Home Health, Private Duty, and Community Care Program service lines. You will connect EHR, EVV, scheduling, and billing platforms into one reliable ecosystem, build the dashboards leadership relies on, and keep patient data secure and compliant.

About the Role

Safe Life Home Health Care delivers care across three service lines — Home Health, Private Duty, and the state-funded Community Care Program — through a clinical workforce serving patients in multiple Illinois counties. Each program runs on an interconnected set of workflows and healthcare technology platforms: electronic health record (EHR) systems, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) required under Medicaid, analytics and reporting tools, and scheduling and billing systems.

This is an analytical, judgment-driven individual-contributor role at the intersection of healthcare operations and information technology. You will work under the general supervision of the CEO / Agency Administrator and partner closely with clinical and administrative staff across every service line. There are no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing systems, data-processing needs, and workflows across Home Health, Private Duty, and CCP to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Confer with clinical and administrative staff to gather operational and clinical requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
  • Plan and design systems using structured analysis and data modeling and implement improvements and automation that reduce manual work.
  • Integrate and configure third-party healthcare platforms — EHR, EVV, and analytics tools — so they exchange information reliably as one ecosystem.
  • Assess and recommend commercially available software, including cost-benefit and feasibility analysis of proposed systems.
  • Build performance and quality dashboards in tools such as Power BI and Tableau to track hospital readmission rates, visit compliance, and care-plan effectiveness.
  • Develop and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards; prepare specifications; and coordinate testing, validation, and installation before deployment.
  • Ensure patient and operational data is accurate, secure, and handled in full compliance with HIPAA, CMS conditions of participation, and Illinois state reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in systems analysis, healthcare IT, or a closely related technical role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems analysis and design, system integration, and data management and analytics.
  • Working knowledge of information security principles and healthcare data privacy requirements, including HIPAA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare information systems such as EHR and EVV platforms.
  • Experience building reporting and analytics dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid operational, billing, and compliance requirements in a home health or home care setting.
What You Bring
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business and clinical needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to design, configure, and validate integrations between multiple software systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders.
  • Sound professional judgment and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site at our Lombard, Illinois office. $80,000 - $85,000 per year, permanent W2 employment.
