Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux servers, workstations, research clusters, teaching laboratories, embedded systems, FPGA platforms, printers, and related devices.
• Install, configure, upgrade, secure, monitor, document, and troubleshoot software, operating systems, databases, and network services.
• Provide preventive maintenance for safety and continued operation of hardware/software systems.
• Perform backups, recovery, patching, and lifecycle management to ensure reliable operations.
• Support faculty, staff, and students with research computing, instructional technology, engineering software, and laboratory systems.
• Evaluate and improve computing systems to meet teaching, research, cybersecurity, and operational needs.
• Provide remote-access support, technical guidance, and documentation.
• Coordinate work with university personnel, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
• Assist with college-wide infrastructure upgrades, deployments, troubleshooting, and integration with university systems.
• Maintain equipment, software, warranties, and supply inventories.

THE POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID (50% REMOTEALLOWABLE) WORK SCHEDULE.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage and support computing, networking, instructional, andresearch technology for the Electrical and Computer Engineeringdepartment within the College of Engineering. Maintain Linuxservers, workstations, research clusers, laboratories, embeddedsystems, FPGA platforms, engineering software, and relatedequipment.

Approximately 80% of the position's time supports the Electricaland Computer Engineering department. The remaining 20% support theCollege of Engineering computing needs as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve computing systems to meet changing teaching,research, cybersecurity, and operational needs.
• Provide technical guidance, training, documentation, andremote-access support.
• Coordinate work with university personnel, vendors, consultants,and contractors.
• Support College of Engineering computing systems, laboratories,instructional clusters, servers, workstations, and relatedtechnology as assigned.
• Assist with college-wide upgrades, deployments, troubleshooting,documentation, infrastructure projects, and integration withuniversity systems.
• Provide backup technical support to other college units asneeded.
• Maintain equipment, software, warranty, and supplyinventories.
• Assist with technology planning, purchasing, deployment,replacement, and lifecycle scheduling.
• Perform additional duties as required.
