The City of Gastonia is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to design and deploy software packages and MSI/EXE installers, write task sequences for OS deployment, and manage software updates. This role operates under general supervision and independently develops methods and sequences.
Essential duties include server builds, monitoring, backups, patching, capacity assessments, and supporting email, databases, and configurations. A strong focus on reliability and system standards is required.
The purpose of this position is to create software packages and application deployment methods which includes creating packages for MSI or EXE installers, writing task sequences for OS deployment, and configuring software updates.
This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
