Job summary

Artera Technologies, LLC seeks Computer Scientists in the Fort Meade/Annapolis Junction area for mid to senior roles requiring TS/SCI with polygraph. The team develops software drivers, applications, and embedded systems while processing digital signals and leading software development initiatives.

Candidates should have strong Python, C, and C++ skills, with experience across the product lifecycle and integrated product experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of software/firmware design, development and test experience.
• Level 2 requires 5–10 years of experience in software/firmware design, development and test.
• Level 3 requires 10+ years of experience in software/firmware design, development and test.
• Four years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop software drivers and software applications.
• Process digital signals and develop client/server applications.
• Analyze and implement legacy and current processor technology; OS, architectures and interfaces.
• Develop code using Assembly and high‑level languages; reverse engineer software.
• Develop embedded software and peer review code; lead a software development team.

Tasking

• Develop software drivers
• Develop software applications

• Analyze and implement Operating systems, architectures, and interfaces

• Reverse engineer software/code

• Lead a Software development team and ensure work is completed in accordance with the - constraints of the technical process being used on any particular project

General Qualifications

• Computer Scientist Level 1 requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and test.
• Computer Scientist Level 2 requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university and 5-10 years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and test.
• Computer Scientist Level 3 requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university and 10+ years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and test.
• Four (4) years of additional experience in software and firmware design, development, and test may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
