Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs invites applications for a Computer Science Engineering Intern at our Rockport, Indiana location. As part of our internship program, you will work with engineers and operators to develop software tools that support manufacturing and automation, while contributing to HMI projects and system integration efforts.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Completion of sophomore year by Summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software tools for manufacturing and automation processes.
• Maintain and improve existing code libraries and applications.
• Assist with HMI development, upgrades, and rebuild projects.
• Support automation and process control initiatives through programming and system integration.
• Document procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to identify improvements.
• Troubleshoot, test, and validate software and automation systems.
