Job summary

Alo is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement features for its Ecommerce offering. The candidate will work with a strong technical background, collaborating with engineers to deliver high-quality software and improve the platform.

The role requires 3+ years of software development, experience with frontend and backend systems, and familiarity with ecommerce platforms. A Bachelor’s degree in CS is expected, with base salary range disclosed and a strong total rewards package.

• 3+ years of experience in software development for building serverless micro services and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies – NextJS, ReactJS/Redux, HTML5. CSS3
• 2+ years of non-internship design and architecture of new and existing systems experience.

• Develop features incorporating an evolutionary design and iterative development to balance quality and speed of delivery.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers to align on business and technical requirements.
• Acquire understanding of technical challenges related to scale, resiliency and operational efficiency and contribute towards addressing them.
• Participate in production releases implementing proper branching strategies, QA handoff, Release Runbooks, and seamless production deployments.

OVERVIEW

As a Software Engineer , you will play a critical role in design and implementation of key features for ALO Ecommerce offering . The ideal candidate will be motivated and proactive with a strong technical background; experience with design and implementation ; proven development , domain , and communication skills; and a record of accomplishment of delivering high-quality software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop features incorporating an evolutionary design and iterative development to balance quality and speed of delivery.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
