Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years in IT operations, with preferred certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Azure Fundamentals, or AWS Cloud

Qualifications

• Experience in IT operations, systems administration or helpdesk.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux server basics and virtualization concepts (entry level).
• Relevant entry-level certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner).

Responsibilities

• Delivers routine, clearly defined tasks to support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise IT platforms and systems.
• Resolves routine system alerts using documented troubleshooting steps to maintain operational stability.
• Communicates within the IT Operations team, sharing progress and basic observations about server or platform health.
• Assists with basic system lifecycle tasks under supervision and reviews from senior admins.
• Identifies simple improvements in daily maintenance and escalates issues outside standard procedures.
• Escalates unclear deployment requirements or security risks and seeks confirmation in ambiguity.
• Makes narrow to moderate decisions regarding routine patching or log analysis under guidance.

Job Details

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business.

Shift Details: Full-Time | Sunday - Thursday 1:00pm - 8:30pm ,

Responsibilities:

• Delivers routine, clearly defined tasks to support the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise IT platforms and systems.
• Applies standard practices to resolve routine system alerts and follows documented troubleshooting steps to maintain operational stability.
• Communicates primarily within the immediate IT Operations team, sharing progress, questions, and basic observations regarding server or platform health.
• Works within established IT governance procedures to assist with basic system lifecycle tasks, receiving regular direction and review from more senior systems administrators.
• Identifies straightforward improvements within daily system maintenance tasks and escalates infrastructure issues that fall outside standard procedures or are not clearly defined.
• Escalates unclear deployment requirements or security risks early and seeks confirmation before proceeding in ambiguous situations.
• Makes narrow to moderate decisions regarding routine system patching or log analysis, typically guided by prior examples and periodically reviewed.

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
  

Work Experience:

• Less than 2 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, helpdesk, or a related technical support field required.

• Ranges from beginning to moderate expertise in the primary domain of systems administration (e.g., Windows/Linux server basics, virtualization concepts)ed.

Skills and Knowledge:

• May demonstrate early/starting expertise in an adjacent/new technical domain (e.g., cloud platforms) depending on role and experience.
• Requires close supervision for ambiguous work or atypical system configurations.
• Relevant entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner) preferred.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
